Brenda Marks
Folk Art for the 21st Century

Biography
I work in mixed media, combining acrylic paint, fabrics, natural elements, and more to celebrate the optimistic parts of life. I'm an experimenter who frequently tries out new media. Also, I use different techniques (drawing, collage, handmade stamps) in my work. The themes that consistently emerge in my work include brighter colors and uplifting subject matter. Layers of images, colors and textures used in the work often bring elements of depth and mystery to my projects.
